Baker Elementary School Counseling Program
The Elementary School Counseling Program provides support and assistance within regular education to help meet a variety of student needs. The School Counselor works hand-in-hand with the teachers, other support staff and parents to maximize each student's success in the school.
Support Groups: Students who need help coping with such issues as separation and divorce, self-esteem, socialization, organization and study skills are referred to support groups.
Individual Attention: Students who may need extra support and attention can meet with the Counselor one to one. The Counselor will provide a safe and caring environment to focus on individual issues.
Classroom Presentation: Classroom lessons focus on character education issues such as, social skills, conflict resolution, bullying, and making friends.
